New Work

Apply 2 to 4 coats of the Floor Seal onto bare wood. If required a light sanding between coats may be carried out.

Recoating

Remove any grease, dirt, polish or wax that might inhibit good adhesion and drying. Sand existing seal to produce a good 'key' using 120-150 grade sandpaper. The use of power sanders is preferable, except on man-made veneer flooring. Bare areas should be 'touched in' with the appropriate Floor Seal. If seal is loose, flaking or in poor condition, sand back to bare timber. Depending upon the condition of the surface, finish as described under 'New Work'.
